an eye-witness account of our amazing family adventures

10.10.2007

Saturday September 29th

We drove in the early morning hours from Abilene to Lubbock. We arrived just in time to enjoy a big home cooked breakfast at Pa-G & G.G.'s (a.k.a. Meg's parents Gibby & Dawna). This little layover only lasted a couple of hours, but it was enough time to fill our bellies, stretch our legs and catch a quick nap. The boys enjoyed their visit with Pa-G, G.G., Uncle Toby (Meg's younger brother), Mamaw (Meg's grandmother) and Chester & Kiwi (Pa-G & G.G.'s dogs).

Once we were fed and rested, we loaded back into the car,
waved goodbye and continued our journey to Chama, New Mexico.

We met our destination (a.k.a. Sky Mountain Resort) after nightfall. Quickly set up the camper, put the kids to bed and vowed to get up in the morning to finish setting up our home away from home.

You guys are a good example of not just working hard but taking time to play hard.
