Saturday night (7.28.2007) we had a
PINK & BLUE
party in honor of "Sweet Bun".
The purpose of the party was to reveal the official results of the sonogram we had on Wednesday. As many of you know by now, BLUE was the winning color of the evening since " Sweet Bun" presented himself as a BOY! We invited a few family and friends to share in our exciting news and an evening of outdoor fun. Bud and Honey (a.k.a. Zach's parents) were kind enough to allow us to use their beautiful home and backyard for this joyous occasion.
The guests arrived at 5:30pm to participate in (or watch) some water fun (wading pools, sprinkler, water guns & water balloons) and sand box activities.

Dinner was served at 6:30pm, the menu consisted of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and fruit. Bud was our outdoor chef for the evening, so the meat was grilled to perfection!

There were ice cream cones with sprinkles (for the kids)/
milkshakes (for the grownups).
The party was a success, all leading up to the moment of truth. The guests were asked to raise their napkin "guesses" up in the air as Owen was honored with the responsibility of revealing the gender of his new sibling.
He took this responsibility very seriously
and walked around with the sign for several minutes
to make sure that everyone was informed.
There are so many of you who we wish
could have been there,
hopefully you will enjoy these pictures of our
PINK & BLUE evening!
Thanks again to Bud & Honey, David & Ashley (Zach's sister & bro-in-law), Pawpaw & Mawmaw (Zach's grandparents), the MacDonald family, the Gumm family, Kim & Lil' Jake (& Lil' baby Jack coming Nov.5th) Watson and Karla McCall
for sharing in our evening.

What a fun, and creative way to spread the exciting news. I hope we can come up with something half as unique...that is, when Jason finally decides we can spill the beans. He is still mum on the subject, but I don't know how long I can be illusive--I'm a pretty transparent gal.
PS--Zach sure does have Honey's smile!
What fun! It looks like you guys had a blast! Owen is looking like such a big boy. I know he must be excited to have another brother soon.
TOO CUTE! you are professional momma, and i know this 3rd boy will be so blessed to be in your family! we are excited for y'all!!!
