All the bells on earth shall ring...

On Christmas day! On Christmas day!
And all the bells on earth shall ring, on Christmas day in the morning!

These are just a few of the pictures we took during the opening of gifts on Christmas morning. I hope you enjoy getting a peek of the joy that was shared. The boys presents were themed. They received tools, etc. from Bud & Honey and costumes from Uncle David & Aunt Ashley. The BIG gift was given last, it was a teeter-toter!

Another tradition: The Knight family takes turns opening gifts. All of the gifts are sorted and passed out to each recipient. Then the first gift is opened by the lucky discoverer of the pickle. Moving to the left of the pickle bearer, each person chooses one gift to open at a time and this continues around the circle until all the gifts have been exhumed. I love this tradition because it allows you to see what each person receives as well as celebrate in their joy and soak in their expressions and thankfulness. It also draws out the excitement that has been built up throughout the past month of preparation. We take a break after the opening of gifts to eat breakfast and then we gather together once again to open our stockings which are usually overflowing with goodies.
