A Christmas tradition we have started with our boys is the annual trip to visit Santa at the Mall of Abilene. Zach takes the morning off of work and accompanies us. This year my mom got to join in the wonder and excitement as well.
We are blessed to have a very realistic looking Santa who makes his holiday home outside of Dillard's, just down the hall from Chuck E. Cheese's. The anticipation of our Santa visit begins weeks before the actual event takes place, so as you probably can guess, we have some very excited boys on our hands when the day finally rolls around. We take time to look on the computer and find pictures of what the boys wish to ask Santa for and print them in "list" form in preparation of their presentation to the "big man" himself. SO far we haven't had any crying episodes while visiting Santa. Only good little boys here...
Afterwards, we enjoyed playing in the malls' play area...
followed by lunch at Chuck E. Cheese's, which is a BIG treat for the entire family! Come on now, who doesn't love Chuck E. Cheese?!?! It's where a kid can be a kid! As a side note, I would like to add that our Chuck E. Cheese is immaculately clean, the pizza's not bad and the salad bar is even better, and did you know that they will not let anyone enter who is under the age of 18 without adult supervision?!?! We love this place!
